Repolls on April 13  in 38 polling station in Srinagar Lok Sabha

Due to heavy poll-day violence, 38 polling stations would witness repolling on April 13. The 38 polling stations are spread across five assembly segments of the parliamentary constituency. Army was called in to control mobs pelting stones

 

 

Omar Abdullah questions the rationale behind re-poll

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today questioned the logic behind holding a repoll in 38 polling stations in Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency in the wake of EC postponing the bypoll in Anantnag seat till May 25. “Situation isn’t conducive for polls in Anantnag but it’s conducive for a re-poll in the areas worst affected by violence on the 9th. Logic?” Omar wrote on Twitter.

 

Jammu Statehood is the only solution: JKNPP

Asserting separate statehood for Jammu as the only solution for all issues in Jammu, Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party, Harsh Dev Singh, today mentioned about the biased behavior of Center and Kashmiri regimes. He stated that AIIMS was shifted to Kashmir, despite originally being sanctioned to Jammu. He appealed to students and youth to intensify the cause for Jammu statehood and demanded justice to the Dogra region.
